REZ DAWG RESCUE - FOUR CORNERS
Through a sense of community formed with several indigenous peoples and our core belief in achieving balance between modern technological assistance and millennia-old traditions, RezDawg Rescue strives to address the needs of stray companion animals in the Four Corners region of the US by providing Rescue ➜ Relocation ➜ Spaying/Neutering ➜ Fostering ➜ Adoption.
We are accomplishing these goals by becoming a dependable resource to members of the Navajo Nation and Zuni Pueblo. We do this by offering transportation to low cost or free spay/neuter services, respectfully teaching people how to humanely care for their animals, responding to cases of animal cruelty and neglect, assisting in emergency veterinary care for animals that are suffering on a case by case basis, and taking unwanted animals into our foster care. Community outreach is accomplished by going door-to-door and developing long standing relationships with native communities based on trust and mutual respect.
It’s Because of YOU We’re Able to Save So Many Animals
As a 501(c)(3) charity, we rely on donations to make our work possible. Right now there are thousands of dogs and cats in urgent need of medical care and a warm home with someone to love them. Will you please help us by making a donation now?

SOUL DOG RESCUE - FOUR CORNERS
Soul Dog Rescue started work in 2010 to help save animals from suffering and mistreatment due to overpopulation and lack of resources in the Four Corners area comprised of Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. Preaching "responsible rescue" tactics, Soul Dog places major emphasis on spay/neuter and vaccination as a proactive response to the overpopulation and general health struggles that permeate life on the Tribal Lands of the region. With a firm belief that no animal should be denied access to basic veterinary care, especially sterilization and vaccination, due to financial implications or lack of resources, a major push to provide free and donation-based services on the Ute Mountain, Navajo and Hopi lands has been and will continue to be priority number one. Both mobile and MASH programs are used to both reach the most remote animals and also service the largest numbers of animals at each clinic.
Rescue, adoption and rehab became a necessity due to the lack of viable options for unwanted and abandoned animals. Refusing to turn our backs on the massive number of animals in need, there was no other option than to create programs and vehicles to provide for these animals and remove them from the reservations. This program has resulted in over 15,000 animals transported off of Tribal Lands to other areas for vetting and adoption. Partnering with animal control has been a hugely beneficial relationship for the animals and the partnership continues to result in thousands of lives saved each year. As awareness about available resources on Tribal Lands has grown, so has the quantity of our work and the people becoming aware of available options. This has resulted in a noticeable change for the better and a slight cultural shift in care and consideration for the animals. More people are rescuing animals in their reservation communities and choosing humane solutions than ever before.
In 2018, we opened the Soul Dog Rescue Adoption Center and Low-Cost Spay/Neuter clinic in Fort Lupton, Colorado, after purchasing an existing facility from an animal shelter that is no longer in operation. The building required several thousand dollars of upgrades and improvements and is still a work in progress, but it is fully functional and home to several hundred cats and dogs at a time. The clinic provides low-cost services to both the general public and other rescue organizations.

Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare, advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.

Big Bones- FB
Welcome to Big Bones! We are an all breed, 501(c)3 non-profit, dog rescue located in Windsor, CO dedicated to helping dogs in need! While our hearts lie with the giant breeds, our mission is to save dogs from death, illness, and misfortune regardless of their size, age, breed, or health status. We hope you will open your heart and your home to a dog in need!
Since 2013, Big Bones has grown exponentially. In 2018, we successfully rescued nearly 1500 dogs with over 90% of them being from high kill areas. Only a small portion of our rescued dogs are puppies. In fact, unlike some rescues, we prefer to focus our efforts on adult dogs in need. Our volunteer base consists of over 400 people that assist with everything from pulling a dog from the shelter to finalizing the adoption process with BBCR adopters.

SAN LUIS VALLEY
San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society
The Society's mission is to improve the well-being of animals in the San Luis Valley, the poorest region of Colorado, through rescue efforts, educational programs, and regularly scheduled spay/neuter clinics. The SLVAWS networks with shelters across Colorado and northern New Mexico to rescue animals that would otherwise be euthanized. Due to a shortage of animal adopters in the San Luis Valley, pet adoption fairs are held each Saturday in Colorado Springs to take advantage of the much larger pool of potential adopters. Every Saturday, Aileen and a driver endure a sometimes grueling 22-hour day, as they leave before dawn and return sometimes after midnight if they have a van breakdown. The SLVAWS is primarily funded through adoption fees. For each animal the Society places in a loving, permanent home, another animal can be rescued.

Wright Torres Foundation wrighttorres.org/animal-rescue-contest
The Wright Torres Foundation supports participants in, and those affected by, the areas of animal wellness, mental health, and music. We accomplish this mission through scholarships, donations, and other supportive endeavors. Approximately 6 million animals enter shelters every year, and more than 2 million of those animals are killed. There are an estimated 14,000 shelters and pet rescue groups in the United States, taking in nearly 8 million animals each year. The percentage of animals acquired from shelters and rescue groups is growing, and funding is what they often struggle with the most. Our goal is to provide financial support through our various projects to animal rescues and shelters in Texas (or those that save animals located in Texas) that maintain ethical practices and share our mission in saving animal lives.

Gracies Project rehabilitates sick and injured dogs on a daily basis. We are dedicated to saving as many animals as possible and this would not be possible without the help of donations and volunteers. Vet care and treatment of these animals is costly, adding up to thousands of dollars a month. If you would like to make a donation to help these animals as well as the animals to come, you can donate here. Your contribution will keep our dream alive and allow us to continue serving the injured and forgotten animals of the Texas Panhandle.
Gracies Project is a 501C3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals in the Texas Panhandle who would otherwise be at high risk of euthanasia. We provide spay/neuter, shots, vet care, housing, and other necessary essentials until our animals are rehabilitated and adopted by a forever family. Our organization relies solely on the communities help to volunteer or help fund our endeavors so that we may continually save and help our communities forgotten animals.
When we found Gracie, She was a brand new mommy who was malnourished, alone, and facing euthanasia. She had 9 puppies that she was caring for, who were only 2 days old, and she and her puppies were out of time. We pulled her and her litter from the Childress pound and they became our very first fosters. We had Gracie for 3 months to the day and with some love she grew from 40 to 83 pounds! We fell in love with her immediately and just knew that we would adopt her. Our hearts were full! However, God had other plans for Gracie. We took Her in to get spayed and everything seemed to go alright...we picked her up from the vet, brought her home to rest, and our sweet Gracie passed away that night.. We never understood what happened to make our Gracie leave us unexpectedly. We adopted out 7 of her puppies and ended up adopting the other two so that a part of Gracie would always be with us.
Now, we are on a mission to save all of Gracie's friends, One paw at a time. Find out how you can help and get involved today!

Animal Rescue League of El Paso, Inc. (ARL) is a volunteer based, No Kill shelter. Founded in 1995, we serve El Paso County and Southern New Mexico. ARL focuses on rescuing homeless dogs/cats in our community who either find themselves on death row at Animal Control or on the streets as strays.
ARL rescues, rehabilitates and places approximately 1200-1400 dogs/cats into loving homes a year. All dogs/cats taken in at ARL are spayed/neutered, brought current on their vaccinations, micro chipped, tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Lyme disease or Feline Leukemia before they are adopted. There is no time limit on how long they can stay. We’ve had dogs/cats stay at ARL for years before they find their forever family.

HUNT COUNTY
Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue
Statement: TBC Animal Rescue was created in 2006 as a volunteer operated, non-profit, 501c3 no kill organization in Hunt County in N.E. Texas to rescue and rehabilitate unwanted, homeless and helpless dogs and pups helping each to find a carefully matched permanent and loving home through adoption. We accept all breeds to reduce the large numbers going to high kill area shelters. It is our mission to educate the community on humane care, spay & neuter and promote an overall appreciation of companion animals. We are the only hope for animals in Southern Hunt county but we also have pulled dogs from shelters in Dallas, Rowlett, and Greenville, and have saved dogs as far away as the Breckenridge Animal Shelter.
